Trump’s Admiration for Swift
The former Republican leader did not skimp on praises for one of the most influential singers of today:
“I think she is very beautiful, really beautiful. She seems liberal. She probably doesn’t like Trump.
I’ve heard she is very talented,” Trump commented. “In fact, I think she is exceptionally beautiful.”
During a conversation in the winter of 2023, Setoodeh asked Trump about the most prominent figure of our time: Taylor Swift, who filled stadiums with her Eras Tour.
Taylor Swift’s Political Positions
In 2016, it was speculated that Swift could be a Republican, but in 2018 she openly supported the Democrats Phil Bredesen for the Senate and Jim Cooper for the House of Representatives in Tennessee.
In her documentary “Miss Americana”, Swift explained her motivation to become politically active.
In 2020, Swift endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and criticized Trump during the protests following the death of George Floyd.
To date, the 14-time Grammy Award-winning artist has not expressed her support for any candidate for the 2024 elections.
Trump seems to resent Swift’s political statements. “Is she liberal, or is it just an act?” he asked Setoodeh.
