Statements in Guadalajara

At an event in Guadalajara, Jalisco, before businessmen and entrepreneurs, Xóchitl Gálvez Ruiz stated that his campaign is going well just a few days from its conclusion.

“We are doing so well that Mrs. Sheinbaum is already desperate, taking what she can from the PRI,” said the presidential candidate of the PAN, PRI and PRD.

Gálvez was referring to the recent resignation of Alejandra del Moral, former PRI candidate for the government of the State of Mexico, who joined the campaign of Claudia Sheinbaum, candidate of Morena, PT and PVEM.

Criticism of Sheinbaum

Gálvez criticized Sheinbaum for turning to political figures from other parties. “They complain so much about PRIAN that of the nine candidates (for governors) that he has, none come from Morena; “They all come from the PRI, PAN or PRD,” he declared.

The candidate from Hidalgo highlighted the support of Horacio Fernández, federal representative of the Citizen Movement party (MC), to her campaign, as a sign of the support that her candidacy has received.

Call to vote

Gálvez called to vote on June 2 not only for her, but also for the PAN, PRI and PRD candidates for the Congress of the Union. According to Gálvez, it is crucial to prevent Morena from achieving the qualified majority she needs to approve her so-called Plan C.

He warned that Sheinbaum represents a threat to democracy because he seeks to change the Constitution.

“Sheinbaum wants to stay with the Court, have control of the Court, disappear the protection as an important figure and eliminate the division of powers.

This is a risk,” warned Gálvez. “So, vote for Congress,” he urged, underlining the importance of maintaining the balance of powers in the country.

These statements by Xóchitl Gálvez reflect his campaign strategy focused on criticizing his main opponent and mobilizing his followers to participate in the next elections.

With these actions, Gálvez seeks to consolidate his position and stop Morena‘s advance in the national political arena.
