Alejandra Del Moral leaves the PRI to join Claudia Sheinbaum

Alejandra Del Moral, former PRI candidate for governor of the State of Mexico, has decided to join the project of Claudia Sheinbaum, presidential candidate of the Let’s Keep Making History coalition.

Claudia Sheinbaum announced this accession through a publication of hers on her social network account X, where she shared a photograph with Del Moral.

In 2023, Del Moral lost the election for governor of the State of Mexico to Delfina Gómez, Morena‘s candidate.

Through the X platform, Del Moral expressed: “True democracy lies in the ability to listen to and understand diverse perspectives, find common ground, and work on solutions that benefit everyone.

This has been and will continue to be my approach. “I will continue to promote the values I believe in and contribute to the progress of our nation in other areas.”

Who is Alejandra Del Moral

Alejandra Del Moral Vela was a candidate for the Va por México coalition (PRI, PAN, PRD and NA). She was born on August 22, 1983 in Cuautitlán Izcalli, State of Mexico.

She has a law degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana and has a master’s degree in Public Administration and Public Policy from the Institute of Technology and Higher Studies of Monterrey.

At 39 years old, she has dedicated her entire career to politics, holding various positions in the State of Mexico and at the federal level.

Jazmín López supports Claudia Sheinbaum in Yucatán

At a rally led by Claudia Sheinbaum in Mérida, Jazmín López, PRD candidate for governor of Yucatán and also known as “Tina Tuyub”, announced her support for Morena’s candidate, Joaquín Díaz “Huacho” Mena.

During the event on Paseo de Montejo, López was present in the front row along with members of the Labor Party.

Taking the stage, López publicly declared: “I support Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum.”

She explained that she is a follower of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and urged voters to support Joaquín “Huacho” Díaz Mena in the June 2 elections.

After her statement, López remained on stage while Sheinbaum continued her speech. Later, Díaz accused the PAN governments of exercising violence and a “dirty war.”

“The era of bipartisanship of the PRI and the PAN has ended in Yucatán. Our adversaries see us as a threat to their million-dollar businesses,” she stated.
