Amidst applause and followers of the Citizen Movement (MC), Jorge Álvarez Máynez held his regional closing in La Laguna, committing to do justice for all the inhabitants of the Lagunera region.
Commitment to development and social justice

Álvarez Máynez highlighted that it is not only about attracting investments, promoting economic growth and development, but also ensuring that these jobs are fair and decent.
“In the coming years, we will have a great opportunity with nearshoring and we want to grow much more, to have decent jobs for people. It is about making sure that these jobs are fair, that they are dignified, that we can continue fighting for the minimum wage,” said the candidate.
The emecista underlined the importance of the third axis of New Mexico, which is equal opportunities, and emphasized that this will be achieved mainly through an educational revolution.
In addition, he pledged to combat organized crime to restore peace in the area and throughout the country.

In response to a viral video on social networks that mocks him and falsely associates him with Morena, Álvarez Máynez used his social platforms to clarify that the Fuerza y Corazón por México coalition is behind these smear campaigns.
He considered these types of tactics regrettable and reaffirmed his commitment to his party and its political agenda.
Meeting with university students
During his university tour, Álvarez Máynez met with students from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Torreón, Coahuila.
At this meeting, he discussed topics of interest to young people, such as militarization, health, peacebuilding, and the regulation of marijuana.
Regarding security, the candidate mentioned that, as he explained in the debate, the security strategy initiated by Felipe Calderón in 2007 has been failed.
“I know that here in Coahuila there was controversy, resistance to that strategy,” he said.
He criticized that the power to order the army to carry out tasks that do not correspond to its institutional and constitutional design has been abused.
