Claudia Sheinbaum has solidified her position as the virtual winner of the Presidential election, securing over 35 million votes with 99.7% of the ballots counted.
This result not only establishes her as the clear victor but also highlights her achievement of surpassing her main rival, Xóchitl Gálvez, by more than 19 million votes.
Additionally, she has garnered five million more votes than those obtained by Andrés Manuel López Obrador in 2018.
District counts, which are the official results, are conducted on the Wednesday following the election day in accordance with the law.
These counts reflect massive participation and a strong endorsement for the Morena, PT, and PVEM candidate.

As of 7:25 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo had accumulated 35,833,293 votes, representing 59% of the total votes cast.
This result places her in a prominent position and reinforces her leadership and acceptance among voters.
Xóchitl Gálvez, candidate of the coalition formed by PAN, PRI, and PRD, secured 16,449,343 votes, accounting for 27% of the total votes.
Although she received significant support, it was not enough to come close to Sheinbaum’s numbers.

Participation of Other Candidates
Jorge Álvarez Máynez, the Movimiento Ciudadano candidate, garnered 6,189,002 votes, representing 10.3% of the total votes.
Despite his notable participation, he was relegated to third place in these elections.
The district counts are the sum of the ballots from the 170,766 polling stations set up during the election day.
These counts were conducted in the 300 district councils of the National Electoral Institute (INE) and provide a clear and official view of the electorate’s preference.
