Delgado affirmed that Álvarez Máynez, the former presidential candidate of the Citizen Movement (MC), was the only contender with solid proposals and consistent work.

Although Delgado clarified that his praise does not mean that he is “uncovering” Máynez as the new national leader of the Citizen Movement, he did make it clear that his figure is fundamental for the future of the party.
The final decision on the party’s leadership will be made in December, when the National Citizen Movement Council elects its new leader.
